Funny Stuff!!

Here's more funny stuff from my babes' mouths....

There was a wasp flying around me when we were outside one day and as soon as he landed I was able to cut him in half. The back half was still walking around and I told Peyton to look at the wasp's bum still moving. He came over and informed me that I had cut off the wasp's abdomen from his thorax. - Thanks for the anatomy lesson son!

Some days Peyton will take hot lunch because the extras sound so good. He wanted lunch one day because they were having peach cobbler and we had just had it a few weeks before on a camping trip. He came home and told me that he missed the peach cobbler in line because it had whipped cream on it and he didn't realize that it was the cobbler. He was pretty bummed! We had to have a lesson about asking for help when something is overlooked!

Cannon asked why I didn't come to his school and I told him that I wasn't his teacher. He asked me what I was and I told him I was an accountant. He told me "No - you're my mom." He's right!!

Date Night

Peyton & I had a date night. He picked Wendy's for dinner and then we went to the play "The Scarlet Pimpernel." It was so good. It was longer than I thought it was going to be (3 1/2 hours) but Peyton did great. He got a little uncomfortable and tired at the end, but he said he had a great time.

Peyton's Food

Peyton always wants me to take pictures of the food we eat. I try to do fun things for my kids meals now and then, but I don't think I need to take a picture every time I do it!! Here are a few things I did take a picture of, but believe me I there are a lot of meals that don't get photo ops!

Inventive.......

Peyton wanted to set up a domino course with lots of obstacles. He did a great job getting it all set up, but I didn't get a picture of everything falling because.....

little brother was lurking in the background and started things going before they were supposed to.

Only one course was set up because Peyton was too mad to start another.

Cannon had just came home from preschool and I had to snap a picture.

Cannon's First Day of School

This is Cannon's first day of Preschool. He was more than ready to go because his big brother had already been in school for two weeks. There were other kids in his class clinging to their mom's legs as school was starting, but Cannon could not get in the door fast enough.

Founder's Day

Founder's Day Wellsville has the best parade! Not too long, fun entries and lots of candy.

Then we turn around and watch the Sham Battle. It's a reenactment of the first settlers to Cache Valley and their interaction with the Indians.

Here come the settlers...

And then the Indians with the Calvary close behind....

and then the fighting starts....

After the battle we had lunch and then headed for the square.

Cannon was not too sure about this ride. It rises up and then falls with bouncing after that. Cannon faked a smile now and then, but held the death grip the whole time. Peyton however has become more adventurous over the past year and loved the ride.

Cannon took awhile to come down the slide. I was really glad that I did not have to go up in the bouncy house to get him!

Peyton got a sling shot from the square and was anxious to get home to try it out.

All in all it was another fun day in Wellsville!

Fun Run

Each year Founder's Day starts with a 5K or 10K Fun Run.

(When you walk with me, it's a Fun Walk)
This year Grandpa, Grandma, Peyton and I all did the Fun Run. Peyton was a trooper - They had a one mile run for the kids, but he did the 5K. He slowed down a few times, but he stuck with it to the end and finished strong!
